One afternoon in the summer of 2004, I was looking out on the patio, admiring my lovely red Pentas that were blooming profusely.  I thought "My, those Pentas are just so spectacular!" My second thought was "My, it's such a shame that they are growing in such unattractive pots!"

For years I have continually searched stores for lovely and durable pots in which to pot my plants. Out of necessity, I purchased "presentable" pots that I knew were not going to retain their original beauty for more than a few months, at best. I decided to take my search to the internet to see if I could find my ideal pots. I did find some lovely painted pots online. However,what I found were either too ornate for my taste, or they were really not designed for extended use for potted plants.

So, here I was back to square one. I decided, that very day, that I would go to the craft store, buy paint, and try my hand at painting the type of pots that I had long envisioned. I wanted to design simply painted pots that were durable, and would compliment my lovely plants. I began with a simple cream color on the base, and a complimentary color on the rim, and then sealed the pots. I planted my lovely Pentas in them, and I was surprisingly pleased with the results.

As time went by I bought books on painting pots, read articles on painting pots and sealing pots, and just kept right on painting new pots.  I discovered a real passion for designing and painting flower pots.

I soon began painting flower pots every spare minute I could find! I have always liked to do a lot of different crafts, but I discovered I thoroughly enjoyed coming up with new ideas for painting pots and loved the decorating touch these pots added to my home and patio.

To make a rather long story short, in October 2005 I decided to develop a website and turn my attention to designing and marketing my original flower pots online. This endeavor has proven to be a very rewarding and challenging experience!
